The Membership of the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce the sale of Engine 111 and the arrival of new Engine 111.

Last week, our 1994 Pierce Lance was sold to Bakerton Fire Company in West Virginia. The unit served our Community, and surrounding areas, on many fires, vehicle accidents, and more. We are sure it will continue to serve Bakerton into the future.

Yesterday evening, new Engine 111 arrived to the station after over a year of research and planning. The unit is a 2021 Pierce with an Enforcer cab, 1,000 gallons of water, and 1,500 gallon per minute pump. It also has enhanced safety features, more lighting, a lower hose bed, and shorter overall length. All of these features will help us to better serve our growing Community. Over the next few weeks, we will be working diligently to get the unit in service.
