Early afternoon on Thanksgiving day units were dispatched on Box Alarm 11-22 in the 8300 block of Inspiration Avenue. C11-1 arrived on scene to find a 1-story, single family home, with heavy fire on the back corner of the house. The residents had already evacuated the home. C11-1 established Inspiration Avenue Command and requested the rapid intervention dispatch. E111 AOS, made entry into the home, and began initial fire attack. As additional units arrived on scene they were given assignments and the fire was declared under control at approximately 13:47. Mutual aid companies included Frederick City, Fort Detrick, Woodsboro, Libertytown, and Lewistown.
